Michael Vick: Going To Jail

Michael Vick has to be one of the best athletes in the world. But he also happens to be one of the dumbest individuals too. Why? Because he didn't cover his behind.

Who in their right mind opens an illegal operation called dogfighting when they have a profitable legal occupation called professional football play? Dumb folk.

Michael Vick has agreed to plead guilty to some charges with the hope that other charges don't arise. Vick is expected to receive between 18 months and 5 years in jail, which he will do them all.

Now lets get real for a second. You have a guy who makes $13 million a year from his NFL job, plus he already has $37 million from a signing bonus received in 2004; and he messes it all up by doing this. Vick needs some Real Talk by some real folk.

Vick was too dumb to think that something of this nature would not come out. He's already in the news about allegations concerning drug use. He should have known that somebody would do everything to bring him down. As soon as you mess up once with the public and the law, the spotlight is forever on you until they believe you don't matter anymore. Remember Michael Irvin?

It is like Britney Spears. She puts Preston on her lap while driving once, everybody is betting on when the next time it will happen. Or like J-Lo. When will this marriage be over? Sorry J-Lo. Vick should have known. All of those associates and nobody told him.

TheBoss vents: Michael, while you are a stellar athlete; you are also out of your mind. You need some real friends. I can't believe ya boys dogged you out. I guess you didn't pay them enough. You make $13 million a year from Arthur Blank and The Atlanta Falcons. I know money isn't everything, but it was a lot. Was dogfighting like a thrill for you? Seeing dogs fight and then when they don't perform, you drown them or put them down. What a way to live? I don't feel bad for you. But I do feel for you. I feel they are using you as a scapegoat. Imagine how many corporate CEOs are backdating options or misstating earnings to feed their pockets. Employees are fired by the thousands, but federal prosecutors go after you with dogfighting. I feel you. But Mike, you have to admit that you made a dumb mistake. Being a person that is celebrated and watched all the time. I can't imagine you even going into Wal-Mart without being hounded for an autograph. But you had dogfights at your house around people you probably didn't know. Next time, pay for a house not in your name. I hope you will learn from this. I hope you will learn that stupid stuff messes up great situations.
